Insurance Myths Debunked

Myth Busted

"Filing a Claim Will Raise My Rates"

Weather-related claims are considered "acts of God" by most insurers. Filing a legitimate storm damage claim typically does not increase your premiums.

Myth Busted

"I'll Have to Pay a Lot Out of Pocket"

Your deductible is typically your only out-of-pocket cost. Insurance covers the rest. We never charge for inspections and work within your approval.

Myth Busted

"My Insurer Chooses the Contractor"

You have the legal right to choose any licensed contractor. The insurance company cannot force you to use their "preferred" vendors.

Insurance FAQs

How does the insurance claims process work?
After a storm, contact us for a free inspection. If we find damage, we help you file a claim. An adjuster will assess the damage -- we meet them on-site to ensure a thorough evaluation. Once approved, we complete the restoration within the scope of your claim.
How long does the claims process take?
Most claims are processed within 2-4 weeks from filing to approval. Complex claims may take 4-8 weeks. Actual restoration work typically begins within days of approval, with most projects completed in 1-3 days.
What does it cost the homeowner?
Our inspections are always free. If your claim is approved, your only out-of-pocket cost is your insurance deductible. We work within your approval to restore your property.
What if my claim gets denied?
A denied claim isn't always the final answer. We can help you file a re-inspection request with additional documentation, or assist with the formal appeals process. Our detailed documentation gives us a high success rate on appeals.
